Major was originally imported to the United States from Slovakia, where he was born in November of 2004. He came to the Benson Police Department in October of 2007 and was assigned to Sergeant Mike Jambor. The K-9 team has been trained in the following areas: narcotics detection, tracking and article searching. The team patrols the City of Benson and assists other area departments with searches when requested. To showcase Major's skills, the team performs public demonstrations in the community throughout the year.
