Farm and Home Show

The Benson Farm and Home Show has proven to be a great venue and opportunity for Benson Police Officers to deliver crime prevention messages to the community. In the past couple years we have stressed the dangers of underage drinking, driving while under the influence, child safety seats and other traffic related concerns.

In 2007 the department will be focusing on providing information regarding illegal narcotics. Parents can expect to find information regarding what to look for if they suspect their teenagers are using controlled substances. There will be pictures of assorted illegal drugs and examples or drug paraphernalia on hand to familiarize yourself with. Citizens will also learn how they can report suspected illegal drug activity to help us in our enforcement efforts.
